From our base in the upper Whangarei harbour we access a variety of areas from the tranquil harbour containing two Marine Reserves, mangrove eco-systems, islands with pa sites and ruins, to more adventurous kayaking on the open coast. We run tours to Matakohe (Limestone Island) for picnics, ruins and wildlife. We also visit the marine reserve at Motukaroro (Passage Island) to explore and for snorkelling and its ruins. Another option is Smugglers Cove, Peach Cove and Guano Island for great picnic spots, stunning white sand beaches, fishing and snorkelling. For those doing the Te Ara Roa walkway we offer a kayak/shuttle service between Ngunguru and Pataua, Taiharuru or Urquhart Bay (depending on your fitness and/or weather conditions).

We want you to have the best possible experience in this magnificent kayaking area. We can tailor make trips to suit your tastes and we also offer multi-day trips. We paddle as far north as Bay of Islands, Cavalli Islands and Whangaroa.

Refreshments are provided on all tours.
